CIVB Wine bar offers some fantastic local wines that I’m sure you’ll love tasting. La Canard a Jazz is a restaurant that serves food and plays live jazz music all night long. If you want a livelier atmosphere then go to Le 21, a nightclub that plays great music on two floor levels.

Obviously Bordeaux is one of the best places in the world to buy wine; there are so many varieties to choose from. However, some of the local markets and shops sell cheeses, cured meats and picnic style food.

Bordeaux is one of those cities where people sit outside in the cafes and eat and drink in the warm air. You can go over to the Bordeaux Lac and enjoy some water sports if you want something a bit more adventurous. For those who want to see something cultural then go and see Phare de Cordouan, the oldest lighthouse in France.
